THE LAKESHORE NEWS: LightSail Helps Students Prepare for Digital Future

ipad_pileThe Lakeshore News reported that Red Creek Central School District will be using LightSail as part of a new focus on literacy, in addition to providing tablets to nearly all of its students.

A visit to a nearby Port Byron school, a district already using LightSail, helped convince Red Creek Superintendent David G. Sholes to make the move.

“Because of LightSail’s newfound success, and their product, which we think is excellent, that got me to move and to jump in. We could have done it before for math. There’s a lot of good math apps out there, but we really need to have the kids reading books. The literacy piece was the priority,” said Sholes.
