Synopsis: A pesar de ser quien estrenó en la literatura española el tema del divorcio con El juez de los divorcios, Miguel de Cervantes nunca habló de su esposa en sus diversos textos autobiográficos. En este entremés varios matrimonios se presentan ante un juez y explican las causas de sus peticiones de ruptura. El 12 de diciembre de 1584, Cervantes contrajo matrimonio con Catalina de Salazar y Palacios en el pueblo toledano de Esquivias. Catalina era una joven que aún no había cumplido veinte años y que aportó una pequeña dote. Tras dos años de matrimonio, Cervantes se separó y comenzó sus extensos viajes por Andalucía sin haber tenido hijos.
