Synopsis:

Dressed in an evening gown, covered in cuts and bruises, and very frightened, Luise Fischer is on the run and looking for a place to hide out. First serialized in three parts in Liberty Magazine, Dashiell Hammet's Woman in the Dark was published as one story for the first time in 1951. It was adapted in a 1934 film featuring movie stars Fay Wray, Ralph Bellamy, and Melvyn Douglas.
