THE GUARDIAN: LightSail is helping kids get on the right reading level

guardian_squareLightSail founder and CEO Gideon Stein was featured in a recent story in through his work with Project Literacy Lab, a new initiative co-founded by Pearson and Unreasonable Group to wrap resources around the fastest growing ventures worldwide positioned to solve key challenges tied to illiteracy. The article described LightSail’s embedded assessments as the key to keeping students engaged, growing, and learning to love reading.

“Not every kid experiences school as something incredibly positive,” said Stein. “So if we can create something that really helps kids to learn quickly, improve the way they feel about themselves, and honor where they are, there’s a lot that we can accomplish.”
