How to Create an Amazing Homeschool Bible Curriculum

Bible Study is one of the most essential subjects in a Christian homeschool. Creating an amazing homeschool Bible curriculum doesn’t have to be complicated or even time-consuming. Here’s how to craft a fun, in-depth homeschool bible curriculum in three easy steps.

1. Decide What Translation to Use

There are many different Bible translations, and it can be confusing to determine which one is best for your homeschool. But you don’t have to pick just one translation. One option is to give your student one or two translations so they can compare verses. Here are the top three I recommend.

New International Version (NIV): This easy-to-understand version is commonly used  because it is accurate to the original text while remaining user-friendly. This translation is a great first Bible for many students, and it’s ideal for reading aloud.

King James Version (KJV): This Bible is one of the oldest translations and is known for being lyrical and poetic. The KJV is a fantastic choice for families who love to expand their vocabulary! Parents may have to answer more questions during Bible time, as this version sometimes uses some archaic language.

World English Bible (WEB): The World English Bible is another translation that’s easy to understand. If I had to pinpoint its style, I would say it’s a mix between the KJV and NIV. One thing to note about this Bible is that it does not capitalize pronouns relating to God.

2. Choose a Topic to Study

Choosing an area of study is the next step. This is the fun part because it allows you to get creative! You can choose to study a character trait, such as kindness or responsibility. If your child is interested in a specific Bible character, you can do an in-depth dive into their life. Maybe you want your student to memorize verses that will help them through a situation they’re facing. The sky is the limit!

3. Create Your Course
